Communication for Digital
Substation System Power &
Energy Automation Project
Description
|
|
Power control systems in substations
usually include signal, measurement,
protection, control, automation and
remote management devices. These
systems are used to collect data
from various devices and send the
collected information to the central
station. Due to changing
communication / device / protocol
requests, the system must support
various l / O inputs and be able to
gather information for the control
center.
System requirements:
A system is needed to improve the
management and control of
substations, to provide more
accurate and accurate information,
and to perform the following
functions. -
Able to withstand strong
electromagnetic interference
- Safe operation under harsh
conditions -
Providing multiple Ethernet ports
for data backup and communication
- Full compliance with the
requirements of IEC-61850
- Having a compact and stable
operating system to develop an
application program
- Real time synchronized clock to
work with other power systems
- Stackable because of limited
settlement
Implementation of the Project: |
|
System
Description:
Transformers operate 24 hours a day
and are often installed far away
from customers. In these systems,
the power state must be continuously
monitored to ensure that all
operations are carried out safely
and efficiently, which means
reliable communication with reliable
products and control center. Most of
the devices used in these stations
perform the following main
functions: -
Transmit different data and
protocols from devices to the
control center
- Analyze data from devices and
perform necessary orders
- Ensuring that all transactions are
synchronized with other systems
Result:
After applying this new solution,
the following benefits have been
achieved: -
Optical isolated and high voltage
protected serial ports that protect
the system from electrical damage
- Fanless and diskless system
controller design for reliability in
harsh conditions
- Easy data backup / communication
with control center through three
LAN ports -
Reliable and stable operation thanks
to the industrial CompactFlash card
- Easily develop application
programs for protocol transfer /
exchange with support for WinCE 5.0
- Easy installation thanks to robust
and small chassis design
